From safe, welfare-focused horse transport to clipping, riding and exercise, wound care and those everyday jobs that can suddenly become difficult to manage, the aim is simple — knowledgeable, dependable help tailored to the individual horse.

With a lifetime spent working with horses in racing, polo, competition yards, private homes and rescue, I’m comfortable with everything from straightforward family horses to those that need a little more patience, confidence or understanding.

Horse Transport

Whether you are moving yards, heading to a clinic, collecting a new horse, travelling to an event or simply need help getting from A to B, every journey is planned around the welfare of the horse.

A practical clipping service carried out calmly and with the horse in mind.

From small clips and tidy-ups through to full clips, each horse is given the time they need rather than being rushed through the job.

Wound Care & Horse Aftercare

Sometimes the difficult part begins after the vet has gone home.

I can help with ongoing care such as:

• Wound cleaning and dressing changes

• Bandaging

• Medication visits

• Monitoring wounds or injuries

• Controlled exercise or hand walking

• Support following veterinary treatment

Any treatment or rehabilitation work is carried out in accordance with your vet's instructions where appropriate.

Riding, Exercise & Practical Horse Help

Need your horse kept ticking over while work, illness, holidays or life gets in the way?

Services can include:

• Riding out and hacking

• Exercise

• Groundwork

• Hand walking

• Turnout and bringing in

Gloaming Fields grew from a lifetime spent around horses and a belief that good horse care does not need to be complicated — it needs experience, observation, patience and common sense.

Based near Magor in South Wales, services are available throughout the local area and further afield for transport.

Every horse is different, so wherever possible the service is adapted around the horse rather than expecting the horse to fit a fixed routine.
